Talon Range & Training

Apalachicola Shooting Range (FWC)

  • Hours: Open daily from sunrise to sunset, except Mondays and Fridays (closed until noon for maintenance). Also closed the fourth Saturday of every month until 2 p.m. for hunter safety classes.

  • Details: This is a free, unmanned public range popular for sighting in rifles and practicing basic marksmanship. It features a 10-position 100-yard rifle range and a 10-position 50-yard small-bore rifle/handgun range. Shooters must bring their own targets. Shotguns are prohibited, except when shooting shotgun slugs.
